What this MVP checks
- PDF readability and page count through PDF.js
- Rendered page dimensions
- Declared MediaBox, CropBox, TrimBox, and BleedBox arrays found in the PDF source
- Expected trim-size comparison with a small rounding tolerance
Important limits
This is not a replacement for Adobe Acrobat Preflight or a print provider’s own workflow. It does not yet prove CMYK/spot-color correctness, image effective PPI, overprint behavior, transparency flattening, font embedding completeness, or PDF/X compliance. Always follow the printer’s specification and inspect a proof before production.
File privacy: PDF bytes are analyzed locally. PDF.js is loaded from a pinned public CDN; ordinary site analytics and advertising may still load, but this tool does not include PDF contents in those requests.
