Etsy Digital Product & Offsite Ads Profit Calculator 2026

Estimate Etsy digital product or small-listing profit after listing fees, transaction fees, payment processing, shipping, materials, labor, discounts, Etsy Ads, and Offsite Ads. This is built for new sellers who need a repeatable pricing check before they publish or renew a listing.

Fee defaults last checked: June 12, 2026. The default setup uses common US assumptions: $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% transaction fee, and 3% + $0.25 payment processing. Payment processing and taxes vary by country, so adjust the fields before relying on the result.

Quick answer:
For a digital-product Etsy order, start with sale price, subtract listing/payment/transaction fees, add optional labor or design cost, then test 15% or 12% Offsite Ads. The number left is estimated net profit before you publish or renew the listing.

Inputs

How the calculator works

  1. Total revenue = item price × quantity + shipping charged to buyer − discount.
  2. Core Etsy fees = listing fee + transaction fee + payment processing fee.
  3. Optional fees = Offsite Ads, Etsy Ads, currency conversion, and any tax/VAT/GST value you enter.
  4. Net profit = revenue − product costs − shipping costs − fees − ads − tax/VAT/GST.

Fee notes and sources

  • Etsy lists a $0.20 USD listing fee and a 6.5% transaction fee. Etsy says the transaction fee applies to the order amount, including shipping and gift wrap when charged.
  • Payment processing fees vary by bank country. The default US example uses 3% + $0.25; sellers outside the US should update the payment processing fields.
  • Offsite Ads can be 15% or 12% for eligible sellers, and Etsy says the fee is capped at $100 for an attributed order. This calculator keeps the rate editable.
  • Etsy may charge a 2.5% currency conversion fee when the listing currency differs from the payment account currency. Use the currency conversion field if this applies.
  • Source check: Etsy Help and Etsy selling pages reviewed on June 12, 2026. Always confirm your current fees inside Etsy before making pricing decisions.

FAQ

Is this Etsy calculator official?
No. This is an independent BigBears Money Tools calculator. It is not affiliated with Etsy.
Does it include tax advice?
No. The tax/VAT/GST field is only a manual input so you can model your own scenario. Ask a qualified tax professional for tax advice.
Why include labor?
Many handmade sellers forget to price their time. If labor is not included, a product can look profitable while effectively paying the seller very little.
Should digital products use shipping fields?
For digital products, set postage and packaging to zero unless you have another delivery or platform cost you want to model.
